Description
Racing light floating disc.
Our floating discs are designed and engineered to increase braking torque and front-end handling, resistance to prolonged thermomechanical stress and dispersion of heat generated by braking, especially in extreme use. More grip under braking, greater responsiveness and less weight, and therefore better handling. In addition, high heat dissipation ensures constant braking power in all conditions. Our floating discs consist of: Brake rotor machined from laser-cut and heat-treated AISI 420 steel plates, this has slotted holes to dissipate heat and keep the pad alive.
The bell is machined from Ergal 7075 billet, CNC machined and anodised. The rotor and bell are fixed by hard ox-treated aluminium pawls and mounted loose so that with temperature variations, material expansion does not block disc floatation. This reduces disc stress and wear.
We pay particular attention to each production step by performing static and dynamic tests on test benches as well as on the track.
