Our semi-floating discs for custom bikes are engineered and designed to increase braking torque and front-end handling, improve resistance to prolonged thermomechanical stress, and enhance the dissipation of heat generated during braking – particularly in extreme conditions, including for large touring and cruiser bikes. Greater braking grip means improved responsiveness; reduced weight leads to better handling, and therefore an enhanced riding experience. Our floating discs consist of: a braking surface machined from laser-cut, heat-treated AISI420 steel plates, subsequently drilled; and a hub machined from solid Al6082 aluminium, CNC-machined. The inner surface is black anodised, alternatively, we offer the eye-catching Night Brake, which is anodised and then milled along the weight-saving edges to create a sharp aluminium profile. The brake rotor and hub are joined by 10 steel pins to allow the disc to float.
